Let’s Play Pickleball!!

Our members enjoy access to organized play designed for fun, competition, and community connection. Below you’ll find an overview of the different types of organized play we offer, along with important information to know before you arrive.

Before You Come:

  • Please bring your own paddle and wear proper court shoes.

  • Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in and allow time to warm up.

We look forward to seeing you on the courts!

Drop-In Play

Pickleball drop-in play is a casual and flexible format where players can arrive and leave at their convenience. Games are typically mixed and matched, allowing you to play with different partners and opponents throughout the session.

This format is perfect for socializing, practicing your skills, and enjoying the game without the commitment of a structured league or event. It’s all about fun, community, and getting time on the court!

What You Need To Know:

  • Be prepared to play with and against a variety of skill levels. Drop-in sessions typically include a mix of beginners, intermediate, and advanced players.

  • Drop-In Play Etiquette: Play one game at a time, then offer the court to the next group in rotation. Be willing to rotate partners and be patient if there are more players than available courts.

  • You’re welcome to come alone! This format is designed to make it easy for individuals to join in and connect with other players.

Drop in is all about flexibility, fairness and fun for everyone on the court.

Round Robin

A pickleball round robin is a structured format where each player or team plays against every other player or team in turn. This ensures everyone gets multiple games against a variety of opponents.

Unlike elimination-style events, round robins focus on participation and variety, making them ideal for friendly, inclusive competition. It’s a great way to enjoy competitive play while still connecting with different players throughout the session.

What You Need to Know:

  • Player ratings are often used to group participants with similar skill levels to promote balanced and competitive games.

  • Players cannot join a round robin once it has started. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in and warm up before your first game.

  • Round robins typically take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. Leaving early can disrupt the schedule and impact the experience for other players.

  • You’re welcome to come alone! This format is designed to allow individuals to join in and be paired with other participants.

Round robins are structured, social, and a great way to enjoy consistent, competitive play.

Rated Play

Pickleball rated play features organized games where players are grouped according to their skill level or rating. This ensures participants compete against others with similar abilities and experience.

By grouping players appropriately, rated play creates more evenly matched, competitive games and enhances the overall playing experience for all skill levels. It’s ideal for players who are looking for structured, balanced competition.

What You Need to Know:

  • A rating is required to participate in organized rated play.

  • Members may obtain a club rating through a Club Rating Clinic, a verified tournament rating, or DUPR.

  • Rated play typically requires a 2.5 hour time commitment.

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in and warm up before play begins.

  • You’re welcome to come alone! This format allows individual players to join and be grouped with others of similar skill level.

Rated play offers structured, competitive games in a fair and balanced environment.

Tournaments

Pickleball tournaments are organized competitive events where players or teams compete in structured match formats — such as round robin or double elimination — to determine final rankings or winners based on performance.

Tournaments can range from local, members-only events to larger regional or national competitions, welcoming players across various skill levels. These events offer a more competitive atmosphere while still promoting sportsmanship and community.

What You Need to Know:

  • Registration is required in advance; spots are often limited.

  • Tournament formats and skill divisions will be communicated prior to the event.

  • Match schedules are set in advance, and players are expected to be available for the duration of their division.

  • Depending on the format, time commitment may vary. Be prepared to stay for several hours.

  • Good sportsmanship is expected at all times — respect opponents, partners, referees, and volunteers.

Tournaments are a great way to challenge yourself, test your skills, and experience the excitement of competitive play.
